Hello Everyone, Get hyped for another annual reunion coming up this summer! We had an amazing time in Vermont last July and in a few short months we’ll be venturing to the coast of Southern Maine. I put a deposit down on a great spot in Wells, not far from the beach, the river, and the downtown area.
If you can’t make it, don’t worry, we will do it again next year and until then you can spend three-hundred and sixty-five days full of regret, and remorse, and cry yourself to sleep every night. Okay, cool!
We can check in on Thursday, July 30th at 3pm. We’ll spend Thursday and Friday night and then check out on Saturday, August 2nd at 10am. I’ll see what the host says about a late check out.
This place seems ideal in a lot of ways, but it wasn’t available on Sunday. I told the host that we would want to book it for Saturday night if they get any availability. It sounded like a lot of us were down for a weekend excursion, but perhaps over the next few months people can get Friday off and make it up there on Thursday night. 🤔
If not, who knows, maybe someone cancels or reschedules and we end up getting Saturday night too. I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything. If you want to add the trip to your calendar, just select this button below.
The address is 19 Shamrock Ln, Wells, ME 04090. It’s on the south side of Wells, closer to Ogunquit, and it looks like the Ogunquit river runs through the woods, just behind the house, which may be cool to explore on foot. In this map below, you can see the red pin and the distance to 95, the beaches, and Ogunquit. Downtown Wells is just north of Moody Beach (upper right if you zoom in).
We’re not far from coffee, ice cream, lobsters and everything you would want in a southern Maine vacation wonderland. Just up the road there’s even a go-kart place called ‘Wonder Mountain Fun Park’, which looks like a good place for us to get kicked out of. Once you travel north and pull down the driveway, you’ll find the house nestled on a dead-end, tucked behind neighbors, with lots of off-street parking.

We’ll keep the pricing the same as in Vermont at $50 per person per night but we may have a few more people coming and going. The Barbs have been added to the group text and I’d like to make sure Nugget & Co., Josh Mann & Caroline, Noah & Al, and my cuz McGaff are all invited as well. If there’s anyone else you think we should invite, feel free to mention it on the group text. There is plenty of spots for kids to sleep from bunkbeds to futons, hide-aways, couches and we can always bring air mattresses, not to mention tents in the backyard.
As far as the bedrooms, we’ll try to be flexible and go with a sort of ‘first paid • first reserved’ type of situation. So feel free to Venmo me and let me know what you’re after and we’ll see what we can do. The main thing is that we all get together to share some fun experiences and make some new memories. Remember when you’re working with a big crew to be flexible and keep your expectations a bit loose though.
Last, but not least, a quick mention of our friend who has inadvertently brought us all together for three years in a row. I think she would be proud of that. When we think of Hilary it’s always a good reminder that we’re only here for a short while, so let’s make the most of it. Hilary would want us to get together and laugh until our abs are sore, so let’s honor her by taking the time to prioritize friendship and just be together this summer.
But wait, there’s more! This damn page just won’t quit, and probably took half your monthly data allocation to load, but whatever. Before you go, feel free to do a bit of scrollin’ down memory lane with some of the images that we all uploaded to the shared folder last summer.
I love you guys and can’t wait to hang this summer!
