In 2007/08 we saw the second rendition of our vegetable oil powered RV, the turbodiesel, BMW Vixen when we built it out for the first ‘Protect Our Winters’ tour, which Jeremy Jones had recently organized. We ganged the trip with a section of our CLIF Bar SOS tour and also shot a portion of the snowboard movie ‘My Own Two Feet’ along the way.
On the tour we would stop at premieres for the Teton Gravity Research movie, ‘Deeper,’ which featured Jeremy Jones as part of a series with ‘Further’ and ‘Higher’ to follow. We got to spend a night at Mike Basich’s inspiring cabin on his own little ski hill in Tahoe, which was amazing. We also got to surf in San Francisco and hiked something called the Crescent Moon Couloir in the Sierra Nevadas, which was sketchy as hell.
